Cold-Pressed Series : Pure & Creamy

At Honeyful, we’re always looking to add products which are both healthy and tasty to our menu. Avocado is one ingredient that we like in almost everything, savory or sweet. The texture and lovely green color makes it feel like a creamy vegetable, even though avocado is actually a fruit. Rich in Vitamins C, E, K, the B’s and Potassium, it also contains a lot of healthy fats which makes it something we can snack on without feeling guilty. In Thailand, we haven’t been able to grow avocados steadily until recent years. With many more varietals that have been localized, we now have access to avocados all year round. What’s even better is that our farmers can collect avocado honey from these orchards. It is no surprise that when combined fresh-pressed avocado with avocado honey, we’re gonna love it.

Double Avocado now available at Honeyful Cafe on Sukhumvit 24 and Honeyful Central Embassy.

We live in a tropical country so abundant with fresh exotic fruits that sometimes we take it for granted. Thailand is one of the few countries in the world that can grow both the King and the Queen of Fruits. Unlike durian which has grown in popularity, we think mangosteen is so under-appreciated.

The Queen of Fruits contains a lot of antioxidant compound called Xanthone, coupled with Vitamin C, it work wonders for enhancing immune system. We don’t often see mangosteen byproducts or snacks or even fresh juice because this fruit doesn’t have a strong scent. Mangosteen taste best raw and any kind of processing just takes away its complex flavor and luscious texture.

To serve cold-pressed mangosteen at our cafe, it is important that we keep the juice as fresh as possible until it reaches our customer. As you can imagine, it takes more than a kilo of mangosteen to be cold-pressed to get this creamy consistency. It’s very close to eating the fresh fruit itself, only better because it’s already been peeled an deseeded.
